For new AuD students, the idea of getting into the lab can often conjure reactions on extreme ends of the spectrum: been-there-done-that confidence or incredible intimidation

In an effort to allay the fears of all the students that fit into the latter category, Assistant Editor Frank Visco traveled out to Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, to take a tour of the labs there to learn more about the types of equipment students might find in a campus clinic or lab.

In all, Frank toured three labs-an auditory assessment lab, a vestibular lab and electrodiagnostic lab. Salus proved to be a good showcase site to orient students to clinical concepts and training.
